Assess homelessness applications in line with **Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996** (as amended) and Deliver statutory duties under the **Homelessness Reduction Act 2017**, including:* Prevention Duty (up to 56 days before homelessness)* Relief Duty (supporting those already homeless)* Conduct thorough **customer interviews** and needs assessments* Develop and manage **Personalised Housing Plans (PHPs)*** Make and issue legally compliant **statutory decisions and written notifications*** Negotiate with landlords and third parties to prevent homelessness* Provide expert advice on housing rights and options* Liaise with internal teams and external support services* Maintain accurate case records in line with legislation and best practiceTo be successful in this role, you must have:* Proven experience working as a **Homelessness / Housing Options Officer*** Strong working knowledge of **Part 7 of the Housing Act**Demonstrable experience in:* Assessing homelessness applications* Conducting in-depth client interviews* Managing end-to-end statutory decision-making processes* A solid understanding of the **Homelessness Reduction Act 2017** and relevant **Code of Guidance*** Excellent communication and negotiation skillsThe ability to manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines#J-18808-Ljbffr…
