Mechanical Site Manager – Central London
£325-£375 per day (Outside IR35) | Long-Term Contract
We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join a growing team delivering high-quality commercial fit-out projects across Central London.
This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional looking for long-term contract work across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects ranging from £500k to £4million in mechanical value.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee all mechanical works on site from installation through to commissioning and handoverCoordinate subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specificationEnsure full compliance with health & safety procedures and site standardsMonitor project progress, identify risks, and provide updates to Project and Contracts ManagersConduct site inspections, manage QA processes, and oversee snagging and close-out activitiesAttend and lead site meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teamsReview and manage RAMS, permits, and site documentationMaintain high standards of workmanship and drive programme delivery across all mechanical packages
Requirements
Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager within commercial fit-out or building services projectsStrong technical understanding of HVAC, pipework, plant rooms, and mechanical building services installationsSMSTS or SSSTS certificationStrong leadership, organisational, and communication skillsExperience managing fast-paced projects and coordinating multiple subcontractorsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and project programmes
