About the Role

At Hernshead Recruitment, we specialise in Advanced Engineering, Automation & Power. We are currently looking for an experienced Consultant to join our established and successful Automation team.

Opportunity: High Fees & Global Reach

This is a desk where resilience, great candidate sourcing skills and drive are key. While we have a hugely established presence already in this market, you’ll need to be able to spot growing clients and be proactive with candidate marketing.

The Role & Lifestyle

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
  • Friday: 08:00 am – 3:00 pm

You’ll be working alongside existing recruiters to source, interview, and manage candidates while identifying and winning new clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identifying and managing client relationships, including strategic sales outreach and client meetings.
  • Building robust candidate pipelines and managing projects to identify top‑tier engineering talent.
  • Taking candidates to market and managing the full interview process.
  • Supporting clients with onboarding and retention strategies.

Experience Required

  • Previous Agency Experience: recruiters with a track record (ideally in Engineering or Technical markets, though not essential).
  • Commercial Mindset: a resilient approach with the ability to handle a longer, high‑value sales cycle.
  • Ambition: the drive to succeed in a competitive environment where the standards—and rewards—are high.
