Theatre Equipment Manager: Perioperative Leadership & Growth

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and ambitious individual to join the Theatres team at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. We are seeking to recruit a Theatre Equipment Manager to support the running of the operating theatres on the hospital site.

St Bartholomew’s Hospital provides cardiac, thoracic, breast and other cancer-based surgery, and has recently opened a new Breast Cancer Centre, expanding its operating theatres.

Responsibilities

• The post holder will be responsible for the effective and efficient running of the hospital’s theatre equipment service and will be expected to contribute to the leadership team in Theatres.
• Support the purchasing, maintenance and management of equipment, instrumentation and contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience in equipment management in a peri‑operative or similar area.
• Experience liaising with industry suppliers and a good understanding of the procurement process.
• Strong sense of patient care, motivation, proactivity and organisation.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure in a busy environment, and work autonomously while collaborating with a multi‑disciplinary team.
