Head of Maintenance – Care Home

Overview

As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you’ll ensure a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support.

Responsibilities

• Turn your hand to all maintenance tasks within the care home building, gardens and grounds, from fixing a leaky tap to planting bulbs.
• Work comfortably both independently and as a team leader; support the General Manager with annual budget planning.
• Liaise with contractors on jobs outside the expertise of your team.

About You / Qualifications

• Hands-on property maintenance experience with at least one trade skill; the ability to undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks.
• Reliable and flexible with working hours.
• Full UK driving licence; IT literacy; GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
