The role
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and optimise a high‑performing B2G sales function, embedding best‑in‑class sales methodologies to drive accountable, high‑quality pipeline performance.
- Coach teams on recognised approaches such as Challenger Sale and Gap Selling, ensuring customers’ procurement challenges are clearly understood and addressed through tailored solutions.
- Take a strategic role in managing key customer relationships, working collaboratively with Client Relationship teams on high‑value strategic accounts while also holding sole responsibility for a portfolio of major national accounts. Shape account strategies, protect renewals, drive long‑term retention and identify opportunities for repeat business across frameworks and call‑offs.
- Maintain strong pipeline discipline through regular reviews, ensure momentum across opportunities, and provide senior insight into market trends, public sector spend and emerging national priorities to inform sales strategy and positioning.
On‑site presence in our regional offices is required one day per week.
What we’re looking for
- Strong track record of winning and managing large‑scale public‑sector contracts and navigating complex procurement and tender processes.
- Experience developing national and regional account‑management strategies.
- Experience managing a team based on key performance metrics (e.g., opportunities created, won, income received).
- Knowledge of public‑sector procurement frameworks or working with public‑sector organisations (advantageous).
