On-Site Planner – Major Nuclear Infra (Primavera P6)

Are you a skilled Planner ready to make your mark on one of the UK’s most iconic infrastructure projects? We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and detail‑driven Planner to join our client’s high‑performing on‑site team at Hinkley Point. You’ll take a leading role in the delivery of this high‑profile project, owning and managing Level 6 construction schedules across six active work fronts. Hourly rate of up to £37 per hour. 10–11‑hour shift (6:00am to 5:30pm typical working hours). 10/4 or 5/2 Working Pattern. Site based at Hinkley Point, Bridgewater.

Responsibilities

• Manage, and maintain Level 6 schedules using Primavera P6, covering complex multi-disciplinary work scopes
• Conduct Critical Path analyses to ensure on‑time delivery of key construction activities
• Collaborate closely with Quantity Surveyors and Cost Engineers to align planning and cost data
• Lead engaging look‑ahead planning sessions (days) with delivery teams on‑site

Essential Experience

• Proven experience in construction planning on major infrastructure, energy, or nuclear projects
• Experience working on projects at Level 5/6 scale or complexity
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 (SQEP accreditation desirable)
• Direct site‑based planning experience, ideally in a live construction environment
• BPSS clearance (or ability to obtain)
• Understanding of fabrication and welding processes would ideally be beneficial

• Travel Support: mileage reimbursed on the first and last day of each rotation (34p per mile for the first 10,000 miles, then 25p per mile thereafter)
