A leading destination marketing agency is looking to appoint a commercially driven Business Development Director to help shape the next phase of its growth across the UK and Europe.

The business operates at the intersection of placemaking, retail, leisure, hospitality and experiential marketing, partnering with major destinations, landlords, operators and brands to drive footfall, engagement and commercial performance across places and spaces.

They are now looking for someone capable of opening doors, developing strategic relationships and converting opportunities into long-term partnerships.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will play a key role in driving new business activity across a broad range of sectors including:

  • Flagship retail and leisure destinations
  • Major mixed-use and destination environments
  • Premium hospitality and experiential venues

This is a highly visible role with genuine influence over the future direction of the business, offering the opportunity to help shape both UK growth and longer-term European expansion.

The position would suit someone who thrives in relationship-led environments and enjoys building commercial opportunities from scratch, rather than simply managing existing accounts.

  • Proven success winning new business and developing strategic partnerships
  • Strong commercial instincts and relationship-building ability
  • Experience operating within sectors such as retail property, placemaking, hospitality, leisure, experiential marketing or destination environments
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders including landlords, operators, investors and brands
  • Ability to identify opportunities, open conversations and convert them into revenue
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate autonomously

Existing industry relationships are valuable, but equally important is the ability to create entirely new opportunities and develop networks from the ground up.

Package

  • £80,000 to £100,000 base salary
  • Expected OTE c.£140,000 to £180,000+ depending on performance
  • Flexible working
  • National and occasional international travel
