A multi‑award‑winning national law firm is seeking an Associate Solicitor to join its growing Catastrophic Injury & Large Loss team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high‑value, complex injury litigation across motor, employers’ liability, public liability and indemnity claims. The team is highly regarded for its work with insurers and commercial clients, handling significant and technically challenging matters.
You’ll be joining a supportive, collaborative environment with strong mentorship and clear progression opportunities within a nationally recognised practice.
The Role
- Assisting on high‑value catastrophic injury and large loss cases
- Conducting liability investigations and supporting quantum assessment
- Reviewing medical records and taking witness statements
- Managing evidential bundles and case documentation
- Preparing client reports and providing regular updates in line with SLAs
- Supporting CMCs, hearings and pre‑trial preparation
- Drafting legal documents, including applications and correspondence
- Supporting client relationships and contributing to business development activity
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with personal injury litigation experience (defendant preferred)
- Experience handling or assisting on complex or multi‑track claims
- Strong drafting, analytical and case‑management skills
- Able to work to deadlines and meet client SLAs/MI requirements
- High attention to detail and strong communication skills
- Commercially aware with an interest in business development
- Claimant experience considered
