Senior Construction Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a high-profile £20 million commercial fit-out scheme in Central London. This is a flagship project requiring exceptional leadership, coordination, and technical expertise to ensure successful delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the on-site delivery of the commercial fit-out project from inception through to completion
• Lead, manage, and motivate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Develop and maintain detailed project programmes and ensure adherence to timelines
• Oversee health & safety compliance and promote a strong safety culture on site
• Manage quality control processes to ensure all works meet required specifications and standards
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, providing regular progress updates
• Identify and mitigate risks, resolving any issues that may impact programme or budget
• Ensure effective cost control in collaboration with the commercial team

Requirements

• Proven track record as a Senior Construction Manager or similar role on high-value commercial fit-out projects (£10M+)
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and fit-out standards
• Demonstrated experience delivering projects in Central London or similarly complex urban environments
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines
• Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• SMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid certification (essential)
