Mobile Water Treatment Technician needed for a large well known Facilities Management organisation based in Yorkshire / North West who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Mobile Water Treatment Technician that takes pride in their work.
The successful candidate would need to have relevant qualifications and have experience in carrying out the following duties – Temperature Monitoring, Showerhead Descales, Cold Water Storage Tank Inspections & Cleans, Cooling Tower Clean & Disinfections, TMV Servicing, Water Sampling, LTHW Systems Testing & Analysis, Dosing of Inhibitor & Biocide, Cooling System Testing & Analysis, Steam Boiler Testing & Analysis, Water Softener Servicing, Plumbing Remedial Works

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Mobile Water Treatment Technician will include:
Representing the Water Compliance as a Tier 3 Water Treatment Technician/Engineer to execute the self-delivery of all Water hygiene/treatment services across the North of the UK. Some staying away for work may be requiredTasks will include but not limited to; Temperature Monitoring, Showerhead Descales, Cold Water Storage Tank Inspections & Cleans, Cooling Tower Clean & Disinfections, TMV Servicing, Water Sampling, LTHW Systems Testing & Analysis, Dosing of Inhibitor & Biocide, Cooling System Testing & Analysis, Steam Boiler Testing & Analysis, Water Softener Servicing, Plumbing Remedial WorksRespond in a timely manner to verbal and written requestsCarry out PPM service visits using appropriate tools and systemsEnsure all site L8 logbooks where acting as the Primary Technician are in date and accurateWhat experience you need to be the successful Mobile Water Treatment Technician:
Relevant qualifications and/or experience dependent on roleLegionella Awareness Training including extensive Knowledge of Regulations/Byelaws, L8 ACOP, HSG274 and any other relevant guidanceExtensive Knowledge of Water Hygiene and Water Treatment service delivery requirements based on Table 2.1 HSG274 Part 2 and Appendix 3.1 HSG274 Part 3At least 3 years’ experience in water hygiene/treatmentCity and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 equivalent qualification relevant to Plumbing, Heating (Closed Loops) or ChemistryUp to date knowledge of technical regulations including Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999TMV Servicing experience (Servicing and Testing Requirements of Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMV) (WH018) trained is preferable)Water Sampling experience including understanding of different sample suites and bottle typesClean & Disinfection experience (Disinfection of Hot and Cold Water Systems (WH005) and Inspection, Cleaning & Disinfection of Evaporative Cooling Systems – W258 trained preferable)Closed Loop testing and dosing experience (Water Treatment Chemistry Foundation W252 training and Practical Monitoring & Control of Water Quality in Closed Systems – W276 preferable)Cooling Towers testing and water treatment (WMSoc Training Courses – Evaporative Cooling Water Chemistry Foundation – W255 and WMSoc Training Courses – Evaporative Cooling Water Chemistry Advanced – W256 preferable)Steam Boilers (WMSoc Training Courses – Steam Boiler Operation, Water Treatment & Chemistry – W260 trained preferable)Valid driving license
