About the role
Are you passionate about empowering students to reach their full academic potential? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Study Skills Tutor to provide tailored one-to-one teaching and support our students with Specific Learning Differences (SpLD), Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and medical disabilities.
We especially welcome applications from colleagues who hold SpLD qualifications and are eligible for professional membership of the following organisations:
- PATOSS
- BDA
- ADSHE
- DG
In this vital role, you will help all learners to develop practical strategies to overcome barriers to learning, enhancing skills in memory, organisation, communication, and self-management. You will design individual learning programmes, deliver targeted support that promotes independence, and collaborate with academic and support colleagues to foster an inclusive and accessible learning environment.
This position is required to undertake regulated activity and therefore is subject to a satisfactory DBS Disclosure.
