Salary: Circa £72,000, Depending on Experience
Overview
The role involves all aspects of missile testing, from early feasibility studies to in-service support, and provides technical expertise that shapes test strategies, improves processes, and drives technical excellence across programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the definition of project test strategies, technical requirements, and Built-In Test (BIT) architecture, improving specifications across various projects.
- Analyse test data, identify trends, diagnose failures, and implement best practices across programmes during development and manufacture.
- Mentor team members, support bid activities, and influence technical and strategic decisions.
Skills and Experience Required
- Degree-level education (or equivalent) with extensive experience in electronic test across the full project lifecycle.
- Proven expertise in electronic circuit design, testing, and failure analysis techniques.
- Experience in test equipment design and requirements capture.
- Background in Design for Test (DfT) and testability principles.
- Strong project management and planning capabilities.
- Ability to provide technical leadership on test equipment requirements and specifications.
- Skilled communicator with the ability to influence technical and strategic decisions.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and EU as required.
