We’re partnering with a fast-paced, multi-site consumer business on an exciting 6-month Fixed Term Contract opportunity based at their London Support Office. This is a commercially engaged, hands-on role that offers genuine scope to make an impact from day one.
The Opportunity
Sitting within a collaborative central finance function, you’ll take ownership of the month-end close process, delivering accurate P&L and Balance Sheet reporting, variance analysis, and insightful financial commentary. You’ll also manage one direct report, giving you the chance to lead and develop junior talent.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading month-end close and producing timely management accounts with commentary
- Owning balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring audit-readiness
- Reporting on stock, COGS, rebates, property costs, franchise, and intercompany
- Driving process and controls improvements across the finance function
- Supporting the annual audit in areas aligned to management accounts
- Mentoring a junior member of the finance team
What We’re Looking For
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA)
- Proven experience delivering month-end processes to tight deadlines
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally from a multi-site, retail or hospitality environment
- Advanced Excel and confident use of financial systems
- A commercially curious mindset and the ability to communicate financials clearly to non-finance stakeholders
