Trainee Commissioning Engineer

  • Install, factory commission, onsite commission, repair and maintain company products on construction sites and at customer premises, maintaining relationships with the customers.
  • Reporting to the Project Management team you will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation, commission, and repair of Excool units.
  • International work and regular absences from home are important parts of the job. Engineers are expected to be away during the weeks and travel for a couple of weeks at a time.
  • Respond professionally to all assigned works.
  • Investigate, diagnose and repair faults. Report any critical issues immediately to the Project Team.
  • Read, understand and comply with all procedures within our policies.
  • Safely perform all works in line with the company H&S manual.
  • Keep the Projects team informed of works schedule to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure spare parts are accounted for and reported to the service manager.
  • Detailed reports and all other appropriate paperwork must be submitted in a timely manner following all company procedures (maintain comprehensive and accurate records of work carried out to enable traceability).
  • Ensure the client is informed of the works carried out at their premises (ensure professional and effective flow of information with clients and other team members).
  • Have basic knowledge and ability to complete mechanical, plumbing and electrical tasks.
  • Be able to read, understand and follow drawings and schematics.
  • Basic understanding and ability to assist with maintenance tasks.
  • Basic understanding of each component within the Excool unit and understand its operation.
  • Be able to support the on‑call system as a call‑out engineer and to travel to site.

HVAC Technician/Engineer – Richmond, VA

We are actively looking for an HVAC Technician/Engineer to join the team in Richmond, VA in the USA. As a HVAC Service Technician, you will be trained to service, maintain, and repair company products, predominantly based at our customer premises in Springfield, Ohio, while maintaining relationships with customers. This role may also require travel within the US to support other customer sites. Technicians may be subject to an emergency on‑call rotation schedule to respond to emergency call outs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ability to understand and follow drawings and schematics.

Mechanical Engineering Graduate – Application Team

Excool is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Graduate to join our Application Team. You will be involved in producing technical documentation, supporting sales, and learning about new products and certifications.

  • In the short term, new product development requires a significant amount of documentation to be produced to provide technical guidance and support marketing.
  • Medium to long term, we need more team members capable of carrying selections and providing application guidance to clients.
  • New products require UL certifications and drawings that require constant updates.
  • Technical product documentation and produce unit selections.
  • Produce factory SM and sales drawings where required.
  • Attend client meetings and discuss technical aspects of Excool products.
  • Attend and support sales team at national and international conferences and exhibitions where required.
  • Carry out CDE exercises on client project specifications.
  • Develop a strong understanding of electrical, controls and mechanical aspects of Excool equipment.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry developments and new technologies.
  • Support the marketing team with technical material as required.
