Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Foreman to join our team working on the Thames Water framework, delivering clean water mains renewal projects. This is a key role, responsible for overseeing multiple gangs across several sites, driving safety culture, managing resources, and supporting the Operations Manager with the planning and delivery of current and future works.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily site operations across multiple work fronts, coordinating labour, plant and materials.
  • Lead and support teams to deliver high‑quality mains renewal works safely and efficiently.
  • Drive a strong health and safety culture, ensuring full compliance with client, company and legislative requirements.
  • Manage site documentation including RAMS, ITPs, lift plans, temporary works and site diaries.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to maintain progress and resolve site issues.
  • Support commercial activities, including early warnings, variations, progress reporting and cost control.
  • Monitor quality, manage non‑conformances and ensure works meet specification and NRSWA requirements.

Qualifications

You are an experienced Senior Foreman with a strong background in clean water works, ideally mains renewal. A full, valid UK driving licence is essential, along with relevant qualifications including CSCS, SMSTS, NRSWA Supervisor, First Aid, Water Hygiene and Service Avoidance.

A solid understanding of NEC3 contracts, strong knowledge of health and safety and quality standards, and proven line management experience are essential. You will be confident leading multiple teams across live sites and engaging with clients and stakeholders.

Additionally, strong communication and organisational skills, a proactive approach to problem‑solving, and the ability to coach and develop teams are key to success in this role.
