Maintenance Engineer (Multi Skilled)

£45,000 – £47,000

Hours of Work

36 hours per week (rotating shift weekly)

• Week 1: 06:00 – 13:30 Monday to Thursday, 06:00 – 12:00 Friday
• Week 2: 13:30 – 06:00 Monday to Thursday, 12:00 – 18:00 Friday

Probation period hours: 08:00 – 17:00 for training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment on site, including services, distribution, plant machinery and miscellaneous equipment, in accordance with relevant current legislation and ensure documentation and records are kept accordingly.
• Carry out electrical installation work when required for new plant, machinery, equipment and services, ensuring compliance with the relevant current legislation.
• Proactively monitor the condition of services and machinery and report defects.
• Carry out both reactive and planned maintenance throughout the site on a variety of machinery and equipment.
• Fault find, diagnose and repair (where possible).
• Engage in fault finding on PLC/HMI controlled machinery.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or above in electrical/multiskilled discipline.
• Apprentice trained (or equivalent).
• Good mechanical knowledge/experience.
• PLC, HMI experience.
• 18th Edition (desirable).

About the role

You will work on automated assembly cells such as hydraulic presses, extrusion lines and injection moulding machines.
