Overview
We’re looking for a Consultant from a Quantity Surveying (PQS or Employer’s Agent) background to undertake a specialist role offering strategic advice to clients including developers, local authorities and finance providers. The position is with a leading property consultancy in Birmingham city centre that provides fund monitoring, due diligence work for lenders and investors, development appraisals, viability assessments and cost plan evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice on schemes throughout the build process from initial risk appraisals to completion.
- Perform compliance inspections on residential developments.
- Deliver reinstatement cost assessments.
- Handle traditional project quantity surveying work.
Qualifications
- Experienced consultant with a Quantity Surveying background.
- Strong construction knowledge, particularly within the residential/housing sector.
- Good understanding of costs and construction contracts.
- Analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable in a client‑facing role.
