Job Description:

We are seeking a Package Manager to play a key role on the landmark Old Oak Common Station project. This is an opportunity to contribute to one of the UK’s most high profile infrastructure schemes, working as part of a collaborative team committed to safe, high quality delivery.

You will take ownership of defined work packages, such as structural steel or building envelope, guiding them from planning through to completion. You will bring teams together, coordinate interfaces, and create the conditions for safe and efficient delivery on site. Your work will directly shape progress on a complex and nationally significant project.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of allocated packages, ensuring delivery aligns with programme, quality, and safety expectations
  • Coordinate design, construction, and commercial inputs to maintain progress and clarity across teams
  • Manage subcontractors, supporting strong performance, clear communication, and collaborative working
  • Promote a positive health, safety, and environmental culture across all activities
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement practical solutions to keep work on track
  • Work closely with site teams, designers, and stakeholders to resolve interface challenges
  • Maintain accurate records, including reports, permits, and quality documentation
  • Support planning and sequencing of works to optimise efficiency and minimise disruption
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing insights and lessons learned
  • Champion high standards of quality and attention to detail throughout delivery

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical expertise
  • Strong understanding of construction delivery within infrastructure or major projects
  • Experience managing subcontractors, fostering accountability and teamwork
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts and their practical application in project delivery
  • Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Organised approach, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands
  • Commitment to health, safety, and environmental best practice
  • Ability to identify risks early and develop effective, proportionate solutions
  • Competence in maintaining clear and accurate project documentation
  • Relevant site certification such as CSCS, with SMSTS welcomed
