Transport Planner

We are looking for a Transport Planner on behalf of our Widnes based customer, who will work in a small team delivering a wide range of specialist transport services. Logistical experience is essential and experience within the waste industry would be advantageous.

Working hours will be 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs. This is a part‑time temporary role with the possibility of conversion to a full‑time permanent position for the right candidate.

Salary: £14.25 per hour.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Experience in traffic planning and logistical dynamics
• Experience in the waste industry (advantageous but not essential)
• Ability to communicate effectively with people in person and on the phone
• Strong problem‑solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanour
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Additional Requirements

Must be available for an interview and can start immediately. This is a temp‑perm position.
