Senior Recruitment Consultant – Marks Sattin
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)
Join our specialist Birmingham team and place high-calibre professionals into permanent and interim roles across commercial, corporate and industry functions. You’ll own client relationships from SME to scale‑up and corporate, provide market-led hiring solutions and grow a profitable book of business within a respected brand. This role suits a commercially driven recruiter who enjoys influencing hiring decisions and delivering tangible business impact.
Key responsibilities:
- Own full‑lifecycle recruitment: intake, targeted sourcing, assessment, interview prep, offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Act as trusted advisor to hiring managers, directors and HR partners, shaping hiring strategy and decisions.
- Drive new business: proactive outreach, client meetings and relationship building to win and retain accounts.
- Deliver an outstanding candidate experience while managing multiple roles to SLAs and commercial targets.
- Lead proactive sourcing: market mapping, headhunting, database searches, social recruiting and referrals.
- Provide market insight, competitor intelligence and salary benchmarking to inform client decisions.
- Hit and exceed individual billings and KPIs, contributing to team revenue and growth.
- Coach and mentor junior consultants, sharing best practice to raise team performance.
Skills and experience:
- Proven track record placing professionals into permanent and interim roles (commerce, industry or corporate markets preferred).
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior levels.
- Commercially motivated with consistent success in meeting/exceeding billing targets and generating new business.
- Confident business developer comfortable with consultative selling and presenting market insight.
- Organised, resilient and able to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient with ATS/CRM systems, digital sourcing tools and MS Office.
