As our portfolio continues to evolve, we’re seeking a commercially minded Senior Financial Analyst to provide strategic financial insight, support key business decisions, and play a hands‑on role in shaping performance across an expanding and dynamic portfolio.
The Role
- Supports the Management team with insightful analysis.
- Supports EMEA country managers in commercial analysis.
- Develops and maintains accurate SKU profitability models.
- Responsible for the New Product Development process (NPD), which includes: pulling together Stage Gate financial analysis to support proposals, applying skills to ensure the analysis clearly reflects the proposition and challenging assumptions.
- Ensures timely and accurate analysis of business performance ensuring management has full understanding of key drivers and advising on actions to improve.
- Works closely with Sales and Marketing managers to shape business decision making in early stages, while challenging assumptions to improve decision quality.
- Creates financial models to predict future performance as required.
- Leads the creation of tools that transform data from systems into information that drives management decisions.
- Manipulates, analyses and interprets complex data sets ensuring outputs are accurate, timely and meet the business need.
- Maintains strong understanding of short and long-term demand drivers, provides support in the development of business opportunities, adding financial and commercial knowledge to discussions as appropriate.
- Supports annual operating plan and forecasting cycles with relevant understanding of markets trends, risks and opportunities. Challenges outputs.
- Prepares monthly promotional accrual for their relevant markets.
- Prepares and reviews calculations for monthly promotional costs.
- Reviews Gross Margin components for unusual/inconsistent items.
- Participates in the Capital analysis including UK and European DSO, and Inventory Days.
- Supports month end close process through review of performance (in particular country P&Ls and PVMs).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance plus 5 years of FMCG finance experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility and experience working in a Multi-National Corporation.
- Qualified Accountant or MBA.
- Skilled in MS Excel.
- Experience in retrieving data from AO and writing clear reports providing business insight preferred.
- Skilled in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Demonstrates a sound understanding of the accounting practice.
- Knowledgeable of the regulatory framework and compliance issues impacting the organization within multiple countries around Europe.
