The site operates across multiple divisions, including extrusion, thermal bridging, paint lines, and machining, offering a varied and dynamic engineering environment.
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join the systems department. You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a range of production equipment including paint lines and CNC machinery.
This is a multi-skilled role with a strong electrical focus, working as part of an established maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical maintenance on 3-phase motors, inverters, and drives
Mechanical tasks including changing bearings, seals, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Fault finding and repair on production machinery
Working with and supporting PLC systems (Siemens S7)
Ensuring minimal downtime across all equipment
Skills & Experience Required
Electrically biased with multi-skilled maintenance experience
Background within a manufacturing or production environment
PLC knowledge (Siemens S7 preferred)
Apprentice trained or equivalent (Level 3 ideal, minimum Level 2)
Salary & Benefits
Basic salary: £38,782.79
Shift allowance: £3,878.29
Skills Allowance: £3,102.62
Total package: £45,763.70
Attendance bonus: £1,040.04 per annum (paid monthly)
Overtime Rates
1.3x weekday overtime
1.5x weekends (double time after 8 hours)
Working Hours
Rotating shifts:
6:00am – 2:00pm (Week 1)
2:00pm – 10:00pm (Week 2)
37.5 hours per week (including 30-minute unpaid breaks)
Additional Benefits
23 days holiday + bank holidays
Pension scheme
No regular weekend working (optional overtime available – approx. one weekend per month)
