Receptionist
A leading law firm is recruiting a Receptionist to join its London team. This is a highly visible, client‑facing role for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional service and creating outstanding first impressions.
The role
Reporting into the senior client services team, you’ll be the first point of contact for visitors and clients, both in person and over the phone. Acting as the face of the firm, you’ll help deliver a seamless, five‑star experience across client meeting and event spaces.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering a warm, professional welcome to visitors, occupiers and clients
- Managing visitor sign‑in and security procedures
- Coordinating meeting room bookings using internal systems
- Setting up conference rooms, layouts and partitions (Boardroom, Theatre, Cabaret, Classroom)
- Providing AV and IT support for meetings and events (training provided)
- Supporting internal and external events on the client floor
- Handling calls, queries and complaints calmly and professionally
- Maintaining immaculate standards across reception and client areas
- Managing ad‑hoc tasks such as taxis, deliveries and flowers
- Completing administrative tasks and maintaining equipment inventories
- Adopting a flexible approach to working hours based on business needs
About you
- Proven customer service experience in a corporate or professional environment
- Confident, polished communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
- Calm under pressure with a proactive, service‑focused mindset
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office (room‑booking systems desirable)
- Interest in AV or IT support (experience beneficial but not essential)
