The Role
As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of a busy food retail store. You’ll drive standards, performance, and team engagement while ensuring customers receive a consistently excellent shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support overall store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient daily performance
- Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve strong commercial results
- Maintain high standards across availability, merchandising, compliance, and customer service
- Drive productivity, stock control, and operational efficiency
- Act as Duty Manager and take ownership of store performance when required
About You
- Minimum 2 years’ leadership experience within food retail or FMCG retail environments
- Strong operational background with a hands-on management style
- Proven people leadership skills with experience motivating and developing teams
- Commercially aware with a focus on delivering results
- Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting
