Procurement Lead

A leading UK manufacturer is looking for an experienced Procurement Lead to oversee strategic sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing operations across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring continuity of supply, driving cost savings, improving supplier performance, and supporting operational excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies
• Lead supplier negotiations and contract management
• Build strong supplier relationships and improve performance
• Manage purchasing activity to support production demands
• Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities
• Monitor stock levels and support inventory control
• Lead and develop the procurement team
• Work closely with operations, engineering, finance, and quality teams

About You

• Strong procurement leadership experience within manufacturing
• Excellent commercial negotiation skills
• Proven ability to manage suppliers and deliver cost improvements
• Experience working in fast-paced operational environments
• Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving ability

Desirable

• CIPS qualification
• ERP/MRP systems experience
• Background in packaging or industrial manufacturing
