A leading UK manufacturer is looking for an experienced Procurement Lead to oversee strategic sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing operations across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring continuity of supply, driving cost savings, improving supplier performance, and supporting operational excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies
- Lead supplier negotiations and contract management
- Build strong supplier relationships and improve performance
- Manage purchasing activity to support production demands
- Identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities
- Monitor stock levels and support inventory control
- Lead and develop the procurement team
- Work closely with operations, engineering, finance, and quality teams
About You
- Strong procurement leadership experience within manufacturing
- Excellent commercial negotiation skills
- Proven ability to manage suppliers and deliver cost improvements
- Experience working in fast-paced operational environments
- Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving ability
Desirable
- CIPS qualification
- ERP/MRP systems experience
- Background in packaging or industrial manufacturing
