About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive People & Culture Manager to join ISS Facilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for an established HR Advisor ready to step up into a broader, more strategic role.
You’ll play a key role in delivering expert people support across a portfolio of education sites, working closely with managers to drive performance, manage employee relations, and embed a positive workplace culture.
This is a Hybrid role with regular travel to sites, giving you autonomy and variety in your day-to-day work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice to managers on HR policies, procedures and best practice
- Manage complex employee relations cases (disciplinaries, grievances, absence, etc.) end-to-end
- Coach and support managers in handling people challenges and decision-making
- Identify trends (e.g. absence or ER cases) and proactively implement solutions
- Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures and TUPE transfers
- Partner with Centres of Excellence on key projects and people initiatives
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, site teams and unions
- Contribute to contract mobilisations, bids and continuous improvement activity
About You
We’re looking for someone who is confident working independently, can build strong relationships quickly, and thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
You’ll have:
- Strong generalist HR / People & Culture experience, including significant ER exposure
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law
- Experience supporting change, restructures and/or TUPE
- Proven ability to manage complex workplace situations and influence outcomes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience coaching managers and improving team performance
- Ability to spot trends and take a proactive, problem-solving approach
Desirable:
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards)
- Experience within a multi-site or fast-paced operational environment
