M&E Buyer
An established building services and mechanical contractor delivering installation, refurbishment, maintenance, and energy-focused projects across a range of sectors throughout the UK is looking to appoint an experienced M&E Buyer to support procurement activities across multiple mechanical and electrical projects.
The business has built a strong reputation for delivering technically challenging projects while maintaining long-term relationships with clients across education, commercial, and public sector environments.
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to strengthen their procurement team.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting commercial and operational teams by ensuring the effective procurement of mechanical and electrical materials, plant, and equipment across both installation and maintenance projects.
Responsibilities will include:
• Procuring mechanical and electrical materials and plant
• Managing supplier relationships and negotiating pricing
• Supporting project teams with procurement schedules and lead times
• Raising purchase orders and monitoring deliveries
• Liaising closely with commercial and operational teams
• Ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and programme requirements
• Supporting multiple live projects across installation and maintenance works
Candidate Requirements
The business is looking for someone with:
• Previous experience as an M&E Buyer within the building services or construction sector
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical materials and suppliers
• Experience working across live projects and fast-paced maintenance environments
• Good commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities
• The ability to manage multiple procurement activities simultaneously
