Senior Procurement Manager – Property Services
Location: Basingstoke and/or Wembley
Working Model: Hybrid (2 days on-site per week)
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000
Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to join a high-performing procurement function within a complex, asset-intensive environment.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for shaping procurement strategy, delivering measurable commercial value, and leading category activity across key operational areas including property services and compliance.
The role offers a hybrid working model with offices in Basingstoke and Wembley, alongside a strong emphasis on collaboration and team presence.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of procurement strategy across key spend categories, ensuring alignment to wider organisational objectives
- Take ownership of strategic procurement activity within Property Services and Building Safety & Compliance
- Manage and develop a team of Category Managers, providing leadership, coaching, and performance oversight
- Oversee complex, end-to-end sourcing projects, ensuring optimal outcomes across cost, quality, and risk
- Ensure all procurement activity is compliant with Procurement Act 2023 and reflects commercial best practice
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across the business to ensure procurement is embedded as a value-adding function
- Drive improvements in data integrity, reporting, and analytics to support informed decision-making
- Approve high-value purchase orders and supplier onboarding within category scope
- Support broader transformation initiatives within the procurement function
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior procurement or category leadership role
- Strong track record in category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier engagement
- Experience within property services, building safety, or housing asset management environments is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of public procurement frameworks including PCR 2015 and Procurement Act 2023
- Ability to balance short-term operational demands with long-term strategic priorities
- Demonstrable experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Strong commercial acumen with advanced negotiation capability
- Experience in contract development and management
