SAS Viya/Azure/ETL Lead Technical Architect – Must have SC clearance – London – 4-5 months+ – Rate: £612 per day (inside IR35)

About the Role

Our client urgently requires a Lead Technical Architect with expertise in SAS Viya, Azure, and ETL. The role will involve architecture design across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, leading a team of architects, and driving a 2‑5 year architectural roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Design architecture for on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments covering networking, security, presentation, middleware, database, and integration aspects.
• Lead a team of architects and set a 2‑5 year architectural roadmap.
• Work with project delivery teams in agile, waterfall, and hybrid environments throughout the lifecycle – from concept to go‑live.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with traceable delivery to stakeholders.
• Use architecture modelling techniques and tools to devise and represent solutions.
• Integrate data from disparate sources (ERP, CRM, IoT devices, etc.), create real‑time data pipelines, and batch processing.
• Build data warehousing, data lakes, and business intelligence (BI) solutions, including Power BI, and apply design patterns, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong experience in SAS Viya, Azure, and ETL.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Leadership experience with architectural teams.
• Knowledge of architecture principles, patterns, technical radars, practices, and standards.
• Experience with architecture modelling tools and techniques.
