# Fire & Security Service Engineer (North East)**Role:** Permanent**Salary:** £42,500/ANNUAL**Location:** North East**Reference:** 85206Apply Now Save Back to JobsFire & Security Service EngineerNorth East / Yorkshire Region£40,000 – £42,000 + Overtime + Call Out + VehicleCompany Van or Car ProvidedMonday – Friday | 8am – 4pmWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to join a growing and well-established engineering team supporting MOD, NHS and critical infrastructure contracts across the North.This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with low staff turnover, long-term contracts, a strong team culture, and genuine support from experienced engineers and management.The RoleYou will predominantly support MOD/RFCA sites across the North East region, working as part of a dedicated three-engineer team covering areas including Leeds, Hull, York, Newcastle and surrounding areas, with occasional support into the East Midlands and wider North.The role is heavily service and maintenance focused, including:Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)Reactive fault finding and repairsMinor remedial and small worksSupporting larger MOD and NHS sites where requiredYou will also support a large NHS site in the Hull area on a regular basis, working on networked Gent fire systems alongside another engineer.Systems Experience RequiredWe are looking for multi-skilled engineers with experience across a broad range of systems, including:Fire AlarmsCCTV (IP & Analogue)Access ControlIntruder AlarmsIntercom SystemsNurse Call SystemsPager SystemsGas Suppression SystemsExperience across both fire and security disciplines is highly desirable, however engineers with a strong bias in either discipline will still be considered.What’s on Offer?Salary circa £40,000 – £42,000 depending on experiencePaid travel timeOvertime opportunities available1 in 10 call out rota£175 standby paymentDoor-to-door pay on call outsCompany van or car25 days holiday + bank holidaysStrong training and development supportStable, long-term contracts across MOD, NHS and HMP sitesSupportive engineering culture with technical backup available when neededWhat We’re Looking ForMinimum 3 years’ experience within Fire & SecurityStrong service, maintenance and fault-finding backgroundWillingness to travel across the North region when requiredComfortable working independently and within a team environmentPositive attitude and willingness to support across different systems and sitesEssential:CSCS / ECS CardIPAF 3a & 3bFull UK Driving LicenceHealth & Safety certifications/trainingElectrical isolation knowledgeAbility to pass or already hold DBS / security clearanceDesirable:FIA qualificationsGent system experienceIPAF 1bExperience on MOD, NHS or critical infrastructure sitesLocationIdeally based between Leeds and Newcastle to support the existing engineering team.If you are an experienced Fire & Security Engineer looking for a stable role with varied work, strong support and long-term progression opportunities, we would like to hear from you.sam@zitko.co.uk07592367130#J-18808-Ljbffr…
