About the role
As a Mechanical Engineer Project Leader you will contribute to projects that significantly impact the environment and communities, working primarily in the UK water market. You will deliver feasibility, design, construction and commissioning services to keep water flowing and wastewater treated, and make a real difference to our environment and communities.
Key responsibilities
- Work as part of a “project triangle” alongside a Site Manager and Quantity Surveyor to ensure technical, constructability and commercial aspects of project delivery are considered throughout.
- Lead the design of treatment or infrastructure projects from the initial outline to detailed design, through construction, commissioning and handover.
- Coordinate the project team—including civil, electrical, mechanical and process designers, BIM modelers and technical specialists—to ensure designs are completed on programme, within budget and to the quality defined by each framework and industry specifications.
- Undertake design in your own discipline and mentor less experienced colleagues where appropriate.
- Build positive relationships with the client’s project, operational and technical assurance teams and promote a “one-team” approach.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering.
- Working towards a professional qualification.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region.
