- Salary: £38,000 to £60,000 depending on experience
- Contract: Permanent
- Location: Hybrid working. Offices in Sustainable Ventures, Waterloo, Central London
- Hours: 37.5 per week, currently working a 9‑day fortnight with no loss of pay.
We encourage you to apply for this role as soon as possible, as we will review applications throughout the advertising period, and interviews will be held on a rolling basis. We reserve the right to close the advert early should we find the right candidate.
We’re agile sustainability experts who break daunting challenges into achievable, collaborative steps. We’ve amassed diverse and deep experience over three decades, working with organisations spanning more industries than we can count.
As a social enterprise, we’re committed to maximising our impact and devote time and resources to influencing policy and industry practices. In other words, we really mean it.
Founded in 1994, we have been one of the UK’s original sustainability consultancies, winning awards and working with partners to create cutting‑edge solutions to sustainability for over 30 years.
Our approach is ambitious and deeply committed to pursuing true sustainability at scale. We are experts at turning paralysis into progress and work closely with clients to determine where they are and what they need to do next.
Your role and impact
You will play a leading role in growing Bioregional’s new build sustainability consultancy offer, combining strong project delivery with commercial acumen and proactive business development.
This dual‑focus role requires you to originate, develop, and convert new opportunities while providing high‑quality, credible technical advice to clients, ensuring both commercial success and genuine impact.
As a trusted sustainability adviser, critical friend, and champion across a portfolio of new build clients and projects, you will deliver robust insights on energy, carbon, and broader sustainability, and embrace a holistic, people‑shaped perspective, ensuring sustainability goals support thriving, inclusive communities aligned with our One Planet Living vision.
You will also take responsibility for identifying and securing further work, including following up enquiries and leads, building relationships with new clients, and growing existing accounts into long‑term partnerships.
Scope
You will lead between five and seven active projects, acting as both account manager and technical adviser, ensuring excellent delivery while seeing opportunities to extend and deepen client relationships and support their sustainability journey. You will work closely with colleagues, supporting them to deliver high‑quality outputs across a range of new build projects and contribute to ongoing technical development.
The role requires a strong commercial instinct, a proactive pursuit of new opportunities, representation at events and conferences, and responsiveness to client and senior team needs, with occasional UK‑based travel.
