These roles are for those with 12 – 24 months of demonstrable experience working in a similar professional services or consulting organisation who are eager to accelerate their consulting capability within a collaborative, fast‑paced, and values‑led organisation.

Our consultants support projects to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients. They work across a wide variety of sectors and services, helping with client delivery, building client relationships, contributing to business development, and strengthening the wider practice and Q5 team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial & Growth
    • Support business development activities through research, proposal development, and proof‑reading
    • Support shaping proposals and opportunities for potential new business
    • Demonstrate curiosity and proactiveness in researching potential clients, sectors, and market trends
    • Develop an understanding of consulting commercials and how a business operates
    • Begin building and maintaining professional networks both internally and externally
    • Demonstrate value to clients by identifying opportunities to extend project impact
  • Client Delivery
    • Support the delivery of client projects and workstreams
    • Think critically about client problems and proactively explore potential solutions
    • Conduct effective and timely analysis, translating qualitative and quantitative insights into compelling client narratives
    • Communicate clearly and professionally without unnecessary jargon
    • Create high‑quality presentations, reports, and client materials
    • Support workshops, meetings, and stakeholder engagement activities
    • Help manage project plans, logistics, and coordination
    • Work closely with project teams to deliver successful outcomes
  • Q5 Team Contribution
    • Demonstrate company values consistently in interactions with colleagues and clients
    • Proactively contribute to the wider Q5 business initiatives including
      • Contribute to building our sectors or services
      • Being part of our wellbeing initiatives and our foundation work
      • Support onboarding and integration of new joiners through buddying and collaboration
    • Take ownership of personal development through regular feedback and continuous learning

Requirements

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • 12 – 24 months’ demonstrable experience within a consulting or professional services environment
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and organisation
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good understanding of Office 365, SharePoint and Teams
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative and commitment to assigned projects
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast‑paced environment
  • Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn continuously
  • Based in/near to London (London‑based in‑person positions)

Desirable

  • Experience using Power BI, Mural, Menti, or similar collaboration and visualisation tools
  • Experience supporting workshops, stakeholder engagement, or project coordination
  • Understanding of project management methodologies and delivery principles
