Senior Financial Analyst
Hybrid with only 2-3 office days per month | South of Scotland | £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
Morgan Hunt is currently supporting a well‑established public sector organisation with the appointment of a Senior Financial Analyst on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational stakeholders, influencing decision‑making and supporting long‑term financial planning within a complex organisation.
The position offers a broad remit across financial management, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering, with exposure to senior stakeholders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Business partnering with senior operational stakeholders
- Budget setting, forecasting and 5‑year financial planning
- Financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision‑making
- Supporting and constructively challenging budget holders
- Supporting and developing junior finance staff
- Contributing to continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting
About you:
- CCAB qualified, part‑qualified, or qualified by experience
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and management accounting experience
- Confident presenting financial information to non‑finance stakeholders
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Experience within public sector, housing, education, NHS, charity or wider regulated environments would be beneficial
