Position: Centre Lathe TurnerLocation: SheffieldRate: £16.93 (£34,334 per annum)
Job Overview
- Set and operate Manual Lathes
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometres, verniers, calipers, etc.
- Monitor feed and speed of manufacturing machinery
- Measure and record build tolerances and determine parts that require repair
- Self‑inspect work with hand tools
Job Requirements
- Previous experience in setting and operating Manual Lathes
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Time-served or City and Guilds qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Familiarity with health and safety standards (H&S qualifications are a bonus)
- Based within a commutable distance of Sheffield
- Full UK driving licence
