Deputy Children’s Home Manager

Grade 8 – Salary £41,771 – £46,142Permanent, 37 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Registered Manager in the day‑to‑day running of the home
• Ensure safe and consistent care is provided for the children
• Provide guidance, mentoring and supervision to team members
• Promote safeguarding and ensure all policies and procedures are followed
• Monitor and maintain high standards in line with Ofsted and regulatory requirements
• Undertake audits and quality assurance processes to keep the home inspection ready at all times
• Build positive relationships with children, families and external professionals

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience working in a residential children’s home setting
• Previous experience in a senior or supporting leadership role
• Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and childcare legislation
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
• Working towards or willing to complete Level 5 Diploma
• Confidence in leading teams and managing challenging situations
• A passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
