Job Overview

We are seeking a resilient and experienced residential manager to lead a team of carers in providing high‑quality individualised care for children in a Complex Needs home. The role requires a strong working knowledge of legislation, regulations and best practices in children’s services, and a commitment to supporting vulnerable children and their families in Coventry.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team with training, supervision and professional development.
  • Use safer recruitment practices to appoint new carers and assess performance.
  • Understand the needs of children, including those with disabilities, and ensure the child’s voice is heard and respected in service delivery.
  • Adhere to and implement relevant policies, procedures and legislation.
  • Participate in the development and improvement of the service.
  • Undertake relevant training and qualifications as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Within the last 5 years, have worked at least 2 years in a residential care role for children.
  • At least 1 year experience supervising and managing staff in a care role.
  • Full‑time 37-hour week with Monday to Friday patterns and on‑call cover on a rota basis.
  • Right to work in the UK – sponsorship not offered.
  • Provide a complete work history and disclose any employment gaps as required by CCC regulations.
