We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support our Quality team. In this role, you will act as a quality focal point for project teams to ensure compliance to business processes and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the development and implementation of business processes and systems in compliance with AS9100 and regulatory requirements.
  • Acting as the Quality focal on development projects.
  • Driving APQP activities.
  • Drive for FAIR and PPAP completion.
  • Acting as a business management system auditor.
  • Taking part in customer/supplier visits and audits as required.
  • Working with process owners to drive closure of non-conformances.
  • Leading internal and external investigations to identify root cause and corrective actions.
  • Involvement in change management and design for assembly/manufacture.
  • Support in the development and deployment of quality objectives.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous proven experience within a Quality Engineering role, ideally within aerospace.
  • Familiar with CAA regulations Part21G and Part21J.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and Process Auditing, AS9100 Lead audit preferable.
  • Experience with Quality Improvement Programmes, Pareto, PFMEA, 5S, 6‑Sigma or similar continuous improvement tools.
  • Experience with internal and external audits.
  • Experienced in the use of APQP tools and techniques; familiarity with AS9145 preferred.
  • Experienced in the use of statistical analysis, process capability and problem resolution tools (8D, 5 Why, 6‑Sigma etc.) and techniques.
  • A team player with the ability to work under own initiative.
  • Ability to influence others.
  • A positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • A flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to work at pace in a multi‑project environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK driver’s license.
