Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Façade Engineer / Senior Façade Engineer to join our team in London or one of our regional UK offices. We are looking for a technically capable individual with good verbal, graphical and written communication skills. The role involves delivering façade engineering services across a varied portfolio of projects, from remedial surveys and inspections to new‑build developments of up to £100m.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of façade engineering services on single‑discipline and multidisciplinary projects.
- Support and mentor junior team members.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development activities.
- Contribute to bid preparation and work‑winning.
- Engage with internal technical networks and promote façade engineering expertise across AtkinsRéalis.
Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer or qualified Architect status preferred (or working towards professional qualification).
- Experience in façade design and detailing, or on projects where façades have been a key component.
- Ability to work independently in at least three of the following areas: structural analysis, thermal analysis, embodied carbon assessment, specification writing, concept design, glazing and curtain walling design, production of detailed drawings, façade condition surveys, forensic investigations.
- Experience managing resources and budgets, with strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative, inquisitive mindset and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Security Clearance
This role may require security clearance. Offers of employment will be dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance. If this is necessary, it will be discussed with you at interview. The vetting process is delivered by United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) and may require candidates to provide proof of residency in the UK of 5 years or longer.
