Night Nurse (RVN)

Location: Eastcott Veterinary Referrals, Swindon

Type: Permanent, Full‑time, 4×12‑hour night shifts (7:30pm – 7:30am)

Hours: Average 24.1 hours per week

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to complex referral and ECC patients throughout the night
  • Monitor and manage ICU and inpatient cases
  • Support patient recovery and continuity of care
  • Collaborate across multiple referral disciplines
  • Contribute to high clinical standards and team efficiency

Qualifications

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a minimum of 1year post‑qualification experience
  • Previous referral or out‑of‑hours experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Full training and support provided for transition into referral practice

Internal Medicine Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

Location: Eastcott Veterinary Referrals, Swindon

Type: Full‑time, 40hours per week

Hours: Shifts scheduled between 8am and 8pm, including weekends; 1 bank holiday per year

Responsibilities

  • Specialise in internal medicine, managing complex and varied cases such as endocrine disorders, gastrointestinal disease, respiratory conditions, renal and urinary cases, infectious diseases, complex chronic case management, and oncology‑related conditions
  • Provide inpatient care, case continuity, and patient progress and outcome monitoring
  • Contribute to a structured rota and team collaboration

Qualifications

  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)
  • Minimum of 1year post‑qualification experience
  • Strong interest in internal medicine and inpatient care
  • Referral experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Proactive and motivated approach to learning

Training & Support

  • Structured induction plan with shadowing, early one‑to‑one check‑ins, and gradual progression into full responsibilities
