About the Role

Your role as Project Architect in Gensler’s London Studio will focus on delivering lifestyle projects across the UK and Europe. You will be responsible for managing client engagement, ensuring contractual compliance, defining design processes, integrating team efforts, and managing the entire project lifecycle from proposal to close‑out.

What You Will Do

  • Design unique professional environments and provide technical support throughout project stages.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with architects, engineers, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, civil and other consultants.
  • Develop and nurture positive relationships with existing and potential clients, optimizing opportunities to generate further demand for Gensler services.
  • Prepare and review proposals, contracts, and consultant agreements.
  • Manage the project lifecycle: estimating, bidding, kick‑off, weekly coordination, punch‑list, turnover, opening, and close‑out.
  • Support communication between the project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and permitting officials.
  • Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex design challenges.
  • Maintain project manuals and specifications; conduct site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFIs during construction.
  • Ensure clarity of requirements, deliverables, timelines, and visibility against fees through the project life cycle.
  • Document and report progress in staffing meetings and contribute to new business development.
  • Support the Design Director and marketing team with photography, videography, and project storytelling.

Qualifications

  • RIBA or ARB registered Architect.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of Residential, Hospitality and/or Entertainment projects.
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations, standards, and building structures.
  • Experience in project leadership, client liaison, and team management.
  • Familiarity with the full project lifecycle, including interior design and architectural phases.
  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm and with clients.
  • Understanding of building construction and the ability to produce technical documents that clearly describe work.
  • Experience managing consultant teams and resolving technical and design issues.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship‑management skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit is desirable.
