Description
Financial Leadership & Reporting
- Deliver monthly management accounts with full balance sheet integrity, supported by clear commentary and KPI analysis
- Continuously improve financial controls, processes, and reporting frameworks
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling to support strategic decisions
- Manage the year‑end process, including audit preparation and liaison with external advisors
Operational Finance & Commercial Insight
- Oversee weekly performance reporting, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
- Conduct site/venue audits to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
- Provide financial modelling and support for commercial initiatives, including new openings and investments
Cash, Treasury & Compliance
- Manage cash flow forecasting, payment cycles, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure accuracy of revenue reporting across multiple income streams and systems
- Oversee statutory reporting requirements including VAT and other sector‑specific returns
Team Leadership & Cross‑Functional Support
- Support payroll processing and reconciliation
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate and timely submission of financial information
- Provide guidance and oversight to transactional finance functions
Ad‑Hoc & Strategic Projects
- Deliver insightful financial analysis to support key business decisions
- Contribute to operational and financial improvement initiatives across the organisation
Profile
A successful Financial Controller should have:
- Be qualfiied by expereince in a similar role
- A recognised part qualified accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
- Proven experience in the accounting and finance sector, ideally within hospitalility.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- A proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement.
