The Debt, Capital & Treasury Advisory (“DCTA”) team is an integral part of Deloitte’s Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory practice. We provide independent advice and world‑class execution across the debt markets through Deloitte’s global network. The DCTA team is looking to expand its Private Equity Debt Advisory offering at the Assistant Director level. The role will be based in London with hybrid working arrangements.

Responsibilities

  • Day‑to‑day management and execution of debt financing processes across multiple projects; responsible for engagement quality and risk management.
  • Provide best‑in‑class advice on multiple debt products and execution.
  • Lead delivery of high‑quality transaction documentation, including information packs, management presentations, term sheets, structuring and financial analysis.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.
  • Lead marketing and business‑development activities to originate a strong pipeline.
  • Develop networks with internal and external intermediaries, private equity houses, lenders and clients.
  • Introduce wider firm services to clients.
  • Analyse debt market trends and lead thinking around emerging financing solutions.
  • Contribute to shaping strategic priorities and market knowledge.
  • Demonstrate leadership that motivates and develops the team; support career progression and personal development.
  • Help lead adoption of Deloitte‑approved AI tools and implement them into day‑to‑day processes.
  • Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive culture where contributions are recognised.

Qualifications

  • Experience in debt markets, advisory or lending, with lead role in day‑to‑day project management.
  • Track record of executed transactions and strong client relationships.
  • Stakeholder management skills; close relationships with clients, lenders and advisors.
  • Experience in debt structuring, credit analysis and financial modelling.
  • Experience negotiating term sheets and legal documentation.
  • Team‑player capable of managing and developing junior team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Financial acumen and solid understanding of financial statements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional service to clients; ability to work quickly and establish effective relationships.
  • Professional qualification (e.g. CFA, ACA, ACT, CIMA) is a plus.
