Job Description:

Arabelle Solutions seeks a Production Supervisor to lead production operations focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and ensuring all employees adhere to safety protocols.
  • Ensure that products meet quality standards by implementing and maintaining quality assurance protocols throughout the production process.
  • Analyse production workflows and identify areas for improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement.
  • Oversee training and coaching of employees, providing development opportunities.
  • Set and manage production budgets and hold teams accountable for performance.
  • Manage developing apprentices to future‑proof the business.
  • Work flexible hours across shift rotations; weekend work on a rotation basis between the supervisor team.

Essential Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in a heavy manufacturing or production environment with a strong understanding of production processes and machinery.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a diverse team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
  • Ability to quickly identify and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Familiarity with production management software and tools for scheduling, reporting, and inventory control.
  • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role within a heavy manufacturing, engineering or production environment.
  • Minimum of Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical/Electro‑mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience with various manufacturing machinery and tools; Steam Turbine product knowledge advantageous.
  • Experience or knowledge of Lean principles within manufacturing.
  • Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field (advantage).
