Salary and Working Conditions
- Salary: Circa £57,000 depending on experience
- Dynamic (hybrid) working: 5 days per week on site due to workload classification
- Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. After offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Security Clearance (SC) checks, which is managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with or lead teams to develop innovative aerodynamic concepts.
- Coach and mentor colleagues, contributing to a supportive team culture.
- Support the development of in‑house analysis tools.
- Collaborate with external organisations, including the Ministry of Defence, other aerospace companies, and academia.
- Work on free‑flight aerodynamics, intake design, propulsion sub‑system integration and integration of missiles onto various platforms (air, land and sea).
- Apply a suite of CFD tools and methods, alongside in‑house performance analysis tools.
- Engage in wind tunnel testing and assessment of flight trials where applicable.
Qualifications
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in aerodynamics, preferably within the defence or aerospace industry.
- Expertise in applying simulation tools or undertaking physical testing.
- Excellent collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to think critically and innovatively to solve complex aerodynamic challenges.
