We are looking to recruit a Finance Manager on a permanent basis to join our team based in East Grinstead
The Role:
The Finance Manager will take ownership of day-to-day financial control, month-end close, management reporting, forecasting, and balance sheet governance. The role ensures accurate, timely and well-controlled financial information for senior management and Group.
Key Tasks:
Financial Control & Month-End Close
- Own the month-end close process
- Review and post month-end journals
- Full responsibility for balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and depreciation
Management Reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis
- Produce KPIs, stock, working capital and cash reporting
- Deliver ad-hoc commercial and operational analysis
Cashflow, Forecasting & Planning
- Own weekly and monthly cashflow forecasting
- Maintain balance sheet and cashflow forecasts
- Lead quarterly reforecasts and annual budgets
Audit, Compliance & Governance
- Lead audit fieldwork
- Support statutory accounts preparation
- Ensure strong financial controls and documented processes
The Candidate:
- 5 years experience in a similar role
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Commercially aware and able to challenge assumptions constructively
- Strong communicator with the ability to explain financial information to non‑finance stakeholders
- Proactive and solutions-focused
- Strong integrity and professional judgment
- Previous role as Finance Manager, Senior Management Accountant, or similar
- Experience within medium‑sized businesses or fast‑growing organisations
- Exposure to audit processes and working with external auditors
