Converter Maintenance Manager – Folkestone

• Managing day-to-day operations and maintenance activities across HVDC converter station assets, ensuring high safety and availability standards
• Overseeing contractor performance, monitor KPIs, and ensure maintenance work is delivered in line with contractual and operational requirements
• Coordinating planned outages, emergency responses, fault rectification, and return-to-service activities with internal and external stakeholders
• Leading operational budgeting, asset planning, and maintenance strategies to support long-term reliability and commercial performance
• Supporting operational risk management, regulatory compliance, security procedures, and emergency response planning across all sites

You will need to have the following experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience within HVDC interconnectors, power generation, transmission systems, or related energy infrastructure
• Strong background managing operational and maintenance contractors within high-voltage environments
• Degree qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced operational environment
• Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused with a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
