Gas Quality Engineer
Starting Salary: £31,300 per year rising to £32,800 after 6 months
Location: Uttoxeter + On The Road
Hours: Monday to Friday + overnight stays and international travel
The Opportunity

Join our leading client as a Gas Quality Engineer and become part of a team that ensures industrial, medical and specialty gases are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards across the UK and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Conduct performance evaluations of gas chromatographs in line with ISO 10723 and ISO 17020-accredited inspections
- Calibrate and validate gas quality instrumentation at customer sites, ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations
- Collect, analyse and interpret data to produce high quality technical reports, providing clear insights and confidence to customers
- Prepare reference gas mixtures for on-site use, including safe transfer and verification of contents according to accredited procedures
- Collaborate with Sales, Logistics and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain records and use our client’s documentation system in line with quality and technical processes
- Manage and support audits where appropriate, including customer audits
Key Traits and Qualifications
- Strong academic foundation with good GCSEs and/or A-levels in ideally Maths and Science (full technical training provided)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to engage effectively with clients and colleagues
- Confident, independent and collaborative – able to manage multiple priorities and tasks
- Highly organized with attention to detail, especially for planning site visits and reporting
- Flexible and willing to travel extensively, including overnight stays offshore or abroad
- A full UK driving licence and comfortable with being on the road for periods of the day
