Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, highly organised Logistics Manager (sponsorship eligible) to lead and optimise our supply chain operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing all transportation, warehousing and distribution activities to ensure the flawless co‑ordination of all logistics processes. Duties

  • Develop and implement successful category management approaches to optimise purchasing and inventory levels.
  • Manage transport management systems (TMS) to coordinate shipping timetables, route planning and freight optimisation.
  • Utilise Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to manage warehouse operations, ensuring effective picking, packaging and storage procedures.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving and distribution activities with third party logistics (3PL) suppliers.
  • Utilising Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as AS400 to track supply chain data, evaluate and trend data, and produce reports for continuous improvement.
  • Lead process improvement and operational efficiency projects and reduce cost across logistics functions.
  • Supervise material handling functions including forklift operation and inventory control in warehousing environments.
  • Health and safety laws apply to all logistics activities.
  • Analyse data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the supply chain and develop strategic solutions.
  • Handle shipping papers, customs formalities and delivery dates to satisfy organisational deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics management or supply chain operations in a warehouse environment will be an asset.
  • Strong understanding of category management ideas, process optimisation and supply chain principles;
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (AS400, etc.) and data analysis tools.
  • Experience with materials handling equipment including forklifts, hands‑on desired. Valid certification preferred.
  • Excellent organisational abilities with the capacity to manage various priorities efficiently.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the capacity to comprehend complex data sets for decision‑making purposes.
  • Experience with third party logistics providers (3PL) is a plus.
  • Capable of leading process improvement initiatives and deploying best practices across logistics functions.
